For Wednesday December 7 in the BSR Studios, I’m John Synek, and this your daily sports update…

Kent State Golden Flashes faced off against the James Madison Dukes last night as the Flashes would again pull off another second half victory by a final of 71-51. The Flashes were down by 3 going into halftime but would outscore the Dukes by 23 points coming down the stretch. Five of the Golden Flashes including, Chris Evans who led the way for the Flashes with 17 points, scored in double figures and the Flashes will look to extend their 4-game winning streak at Western Carolina on Saturday.

As the NBA schedule was announced Tuesday night on NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers will open their season against the Toronto Raptors at the Quicken Loans Arena on December 26th. Cavaliers players are currently working out and getting ready for their two preseason games next week vs. the Detroit Pistons starting next Friday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Not only was the NBA schedule announced yesterday, but also the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to trade for arguably the two best players in the NBA today in Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. These two players have been in various amounts of trade talks ever since the lockout came to an end and sources have said that pretty much every Laker not named Kobe Bryant will be on the trading block in order to get this blockbuster deal done.

From the west coast of LA to southern beaches of Florida, the Miami Marlins are looking to get a deal done with the 3-Time NL MVP in Albert Pujols with an offer of a 10-year 200 million dollar plus contract. The Marlins have gotten 2 All-Star caliber players already with Jose Reyes and Heath Bell. And this just in out of St. Louis, the Cardinals have just offered Pujols a 10-year 220 million dollar contract early this morning.
